I had the HSBC Platinum Credit Card about 5 years ago. I remember that at the time, I had 2 5k credit cards and this one. It was the one I used the least. It's not a rewards card and at that time, there was not an introductory intro rate or anything. I ended up closing it out. It looks like they have become more competitive with the rate they are offering now for 15 months. Normally cards only offer a year. I would give it another try.

I signed up for the HSBC Platinum card (along with a checking account) when I first moved to Buffalo several years ago. I had just average credit, so I was not too picky when it came to a credit card; I just hoped for the best. The "No annual fee" is nice, though the interest rate is relatively high. I have no complaints with the card's terms and conditions or customer service, though I rarely use the card anymore. My primary card is the Capital One QuickSilver, as it offers the rewards that the HSBC Platinum does not. Overall, a decent card that will increase your credit line regularly through on-time payments.

I would have to agree with the other review here. My HSBC Platinum Credit Card has served me extremely well over the years. I just recently switched to a different card. But to anyone who needs a new card or an upgrade this would be the way to go. Easy and flexible is my motto.

I used the HSBC Platinum Credit Card for a few years. I applied for it when I started college to help me when I was short on cash. I have switched to a different card that offers rewards now. But to anyone looking for a card with no annual fee that is simple and straight forward. This would be the card for you.
