A so-called photo credit card enables customers to customize the appearance of their plastic with a favorite photo or a selection of potential designs. Some people decide to personalize their photo cards with a picture of their children, spouse, pet, etc. Using your portrait as the photo can also deter unauthorized use if your card is lost or stolen.

With that being said, we recommend comparing photo credit cards (some of which come from CardHub’s partners) against all of the other cards you can qualify for in order to verify that image customization will not cost you in terms…show more

I think that personalizing a cc can be a good thing but yet a bad thing. I do not have any of my CC personalized with photos of my children or spouse. I think that opens up your private world to someone who is a hacker. I do have a CC that supports breast cancer. I do like the bank cards where the debit card has your picture on it for increased security. That prevents someone from using your card without your authorization. I am more concerned about what the card can do for me; rewards, low interest, increase credit score, rather than what it looks like.

In today's world, everything is personalized. Why not a credit card? I have had issues with banks that won't let you use logos from sports teams and universities, but I understand that there are copywrite issues at play there and I don't hold that against the banks. I am an amateur photographer and from time to time I will take a nice landscape shot that I have printed on my cards. It makes the card look good and I feel good knowing that I took that shot.

Photo credit cards are an excellent option for people who want to personalize their credit cards and/or add another security option. It is a really nice perk to be able to choose what you want to go on your credit card, i.e. if you’d like to put a picture of you and your significant other, your pets, your kids, a favorite location of yours. Also, you choose to just include a picture of yourself this is an added protection from identity theft. Store clerks see it’s your picture on the card and know when someone who is not you is using it, hence preventing fraud.

I have a Master Card and when I signed up I got the generic image on it. I think it was blue with some abstract shapes. A few days later I got a letter in the mail with a brochure of different options that I could use to personalize my card. I think it gives some character and identity to the cards and let's you show off a little whenever you use it while out. On mine I have a white puppy giving an orange kitten a kiss. I thought it was sweet and appealed to the animal lover in me. I know I could also put a personal picture on the card but It would be hard to decide. I love the personalization though!

Having a picture of yourself on your credit card is a nice little feature. It puts another block in the way of some identity staling and using it. Say cheese!

I would use the ability to put a photo on my credit card to express my inner beliefs, as I am a pagan and an American consumer. It is a sad state of affairs that paganism is not represented in everyday life, or in everyday American lifestyles. So I would have a credit card with a silver pentagram ( pointing the star upward ) to represent my pagan, Wicca and beliefs involving modern witchcraft. I also would consider using an inverted pentagram on certain cards, just so they would stand out and I would be less inclined to over use them. This would be a great way to avoid over spending my budget and bank account during the Christmas ( Christian ) holiday season. I think this would be a really cool option to express myself with in the now of the material word, as someone who believes in myth, magick , money and myself. Being in touch with natural law, beings by being in touch with your material world, as it is above, so it is below. Blessed be. Oh and I would choose the Capital One Quicksilver One.

It's great to be able to use a photo credit card because I can easily locate that particular card I need amongst my many other cards that I own for that big or extra purchase I might need to make that is outside of my bank account budget or my other financial accounts. It can also help speed things up at times when a merchant or business I'm at requires further verification that I am the owner of the card since my own face is on the card along with the signature on the back so a photo card can possibly serve as an ID confirmation in some cases. Or I could just place a picture of one of my siblings just to let them know how much they mean to me, that I would place their own photo on my credit card that I use every day, because I enjoy seeing their face and have a piece of them with me everywhere I go. Another thing that's nice about photo cards is that I can use a photo that speaks about the kind of person I am, like a picture of the Eiffel Tower if I've been there and enjoyed the sight, maybe an animal if I really like it, or just a bright picture of someone feeling good and looking up at the sun outside like I have for my own avatar on this website because I like to feel good so a photo card is great for more

I would like to use a photo card so i can always know which card is mine. It can allow it to have some sort of sentimental value for me. Also if ordering out at a restaurant or in a group i will always be able to know which card is mine. It is also nice to inject a little bit of fun into the mundaneness of life. And to have a bit of pizazz.

I agree with you, Dances Bolton. I think a photo card can offer a sentimental value and personalize your card more than otherwise not having one. It adds some personality and I completely agree it is also very fun.

I personally have a photo credit card. I decided on this for 2 reasons, the first being, I prefer my things to be personalized somehow, so I have my grandchild on my card, since they live 1000 miles away, every time I use my card, it helps me to feel a little closer to him and it also can be a conversation starter. Another reason is because when I have my cards personalized with a photo I've chosen it helps me keep track of each card.

If you carry a number of credit and debit cards, personalizing one or more of them with a photograph would make it so much quicker easier to recognize and make sure you have the card you intended to use. It's also a great way to show your support for a cause or organization and perhaps even start a discussion that would give you a chance to express and explain your views. I would prefer the Wells Fargo Secured Card myself.

Personalization of a card is way for someone to express their individuality. They may also want to show their support of a cause, a group, celebrities, or sports team. I would choose the Capital One® Classic Platinum Credit Card.

I think someone might choose one of these cards to personalize it to an image that is important and meaningful to them, such as family, friends, pets, sports team, or charity. I would probably use a picture of my children to customize my credit card.

Yes, I put my dogs on mine about two years ago. Sadly, one of my dogs has passed away, but every time I use my card, it reminds me of him and makes me smile.

A photo card in my opinion would be nice because it gives a touch of customization that makes the card truly yours, and enjoyable to use every time you pull it out or show to other people. I would use a photo of my favorite car, the McLaren P1. Whenever people would see my card, they'd see an amazing exotic supercar. The card I'd pick to customize and do business with is the Wells Fargo Rewards card. It has a points program with a relatively low regular rate and no annual fee compared to other cards.

This seems like a really cool feature but I’ve never had a credit card offer me this option. I think it would be nice to be able to customize your card and put your picture on it. It would be almost like an ID in that case so if you lose it and someone turned it in to the lost and found, you can easily claim it if your picture is on it. Putting pictures of you love ones in the card would be a nice touch too.

My first picture card was with my Bank of America Credit card. They allowed me to put a small head shot on the card. I really liked it because it made it much harder for someone to steal my credit card and use it. I did notice that the store clerks rarely asked for an additional ID when I used that card. A few months after having that, Capital One allowed customers to put a picture that covered the entire card. I put a studio picture of my fiance and I sitting next to each other. I then added her to the account. We had an official joint account with our pictures on it. She really loved me for doing that. Every time I used the card, the clerks would always admire the picture and smile. It really made my shopping experiences more pleasant. I think everyone should have a personalized card with their pictures on it for added security.
